Happy Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow is a day to gather as a family and give thanks for what we have. Feel free to comment about what you thankful for this year!

Here is what I am thankful for:

- I have a loving family
- I have friends to turn to
- I was born in the greatest country on Earth
- I am part of a majority that believes in America
- I live in a country where anything is possible

Today is the Day!

Tomorrow is Freedom Day!

Sarah Palin has issued the following statement via Facebook

Tomorrow is Election Day. Before you head to the polling place, take a moment to remember March 21st, when the Pelosi Congress cast its vote for Obamacare. The enduring image of that day is one of Congressional Democrats arrogantly dismissing the pleas of thousands of Americans gathered outside the Capitol Building begging them not to inflict this disastrous bill on us.

In the end this bill wasn’t about health care reform; it was about control and government mandates and fines for not purchasing a government-approved insurance plan. The bill jeopardizes the very thing it was supposed to reform. Every day we hear about doctors leaving the Medicare system; increased premiums with talk of price controls; rationing becoming standard practice; and panels of faceless bureaucrats deciding which categories of treatment are worthy of funding based on efficiency calculations (which I called a “death panel”).

The morning after this terrible bill was passed by the House, I wrote that “we will remember the corrupt deals, the corrupt process, the lack of transparency, the deceptive gimmicks to game the CBO score, and the utter disregard for the will of the American people.”

They voted against our will that day. Tomorrow it’s our turn to vote against them and put our government back on the side of the people. This is our chance to rebuke their big government power grab, reject their unwanted “fundamental transformation” of America, and start the process of repealing this bill before it buries us under a mountain of debt.

So let’s fire Pelosi, retire Reid, and send all those who were responsible for that disgraceful bill a message that America is still about “We the People.”

Tomorrow is our Freedom Day.

Enshrined in our Constitution is the process for the peaceful transfer of power. Our revolution continues each election at the ballot box, and tomorrow we will renew the spirit of the American Revolution once again. Let freedom ring!

"Tomorrow is the Judgement Day"

Tomorrow, American voters will head to the polling place. They will choose between having a government for, by and of The People and a Socialist State. Tomorrow we will say to the Liberal Elite, "You're Fired!" Tomorrow we will choose between generational theft and generational security. Tomorrow is the Judgement Day!

I received the following email from Team Sarah and I feel it's a must read:

Dear Washington,

You're fired.

We remember how you ignored the will of the American people. We remember the arrogance, the condescension, the deep partisan divide that you dug into our political system.

We can assure you that we have NOT forgotten the way you treated us during the town halls. We have not forgotten how you treated us when we called your office, sent you letters, and tried to make our voices heard. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to forget how you forced Obamacare on us. No one forgets the day their government puts them on notice that they will be required to finance abortions, lies to them about what will happen to their insurance coverage, and performs the most egregious set of political acrobatics in the history of the legislative process in order to circumvent the will of the American public.

Every time you pushed legislation that we didn't want, we were shut out and told to sit down and take it. You made it loud and clear that what we wanted didn't matter. DON'T EVEN GET US STARTED on what you've done to our economy!

So, does this make us angry voters?

Nah.... we're downright GIDDY as we cast our votes!

Up until now, we've pledged to remember November. Now we'll leave that to YOU.

The Judgement Day is Only a Week Away!

One week from today, Americans will head to the polling places to make a decision about what to do with their politicians. I hope that the electorate will keep those who voted against the mandates that have been imposed on us, get rid of those that thwarted the will of The People and replace them with candidates that will represent and listen.

As a nineteen year old young woman, I am sickened by the way politicians in D.C have ignored even me when I have said I don't want these mandates and I don't want to pay off a national debt that is going to hurt, no destroy, my dreams and future! I have said this to Joe Miller when I once called into KBYR and when I spoke with a candidate, Jill Rowland, who's running for my district in Congress against Louise Slaughter, the author of the Slaughter Solution in the Obamacare debate.

Lee-Ellen: Gods Plan

Sarah Palin posted the link to this video on her Facebook. It's such an inspiring song and story and I can't stop watching it! Individuals like this child are joys to be around. I say this not just because it's what I hear, but also because I know from personal experience as a former volunteer at a riding facility for individuals with special needs.

Breast Cancer Awareness

According to the National Cancer Society, Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results show that when my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, the percentage of women diagnosed was around 87 per cent and the death rate was around 83 per cent. About nine years later (and a year before my grandmother's battle ended in death), the percentage of documented women dropped to around 53 per cent and the death rate increased to around 89 per cent.

I was six years old when my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer. I don't recall knowing about it until years later when it relapsed and my parents and grandparents found out that her stage of breast cancer was misdiagnosed. By then it was too late, I guess, to eliminate the cancer completely since it had spread.

When I reached my teen years, the appointments for treatments became more frequent. I didn't think about them much at first, but I soon got a true understanding of what was going on when I was entering my Sophomore Year in high school. It was the summer of 2007 and I couldn't visit my grandparents for two weeks as I had in the past. Grandma's cancer was practically debilitating her so that she couldn't do the things we used to do together.

A year later on August 28, 2008 Grandma's battle with cancer ended after nearly 17 days on hospice care. In the two years since then, I have done research on breast cancer. I found that breast cancer can be passed on generation to generation. This means that both me and my mom could be at risk for being diagnosed at ages than my grandma.

My advice to women: if you have a relative who's been diagnosed with breast cancer, check with your doctor to find information on this type of cancer. You can also find information on breast cancer at Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
